        What is QPQ?

        Quench Polish Quench is a treatment that significantly increases corrosion and wear resistance. lttreats the existing steel with a surface diffusion process at the molecular level. This is donethrough a liquid salt bath process which greatly enhances the durability of the steel.

        The QPQ treatment doesn't add any material to the bore but rather treats the bore as it comesfrom the factory, thus maintaining the original bore quality. One big advantage of QPQ is that theprocess treats both the inside and the outside of the barrel.

        The QPQ finish is found on our Modern, Performance, and Premium Black Series barrels.
